My First Love

Aimee is the beautiful mother of 20-year-old Berry. He has never really known her, and now she is dying of leukemia. Slowly they let the barriers break down, and by the time she finally passes away they have reached a fulfilling relationship. What could have been a fine drama is instead little more than a routine soaper. Emotions are only touched upon, and a myriad of cliches spoil the scenes and the dialog. The ending attempts to say something (Did Aimee die naturally, or did she kill herself for fear of losing her looks?) but doesn't quite pull it off.
