Dull, romantic yarn has a wife accompanying her New England sea captain husband on a journey to the South Seas. She is a woman of puritanical upbringing, subordinate to the wishes of her husband. When docked on an island, the captain goes ashore, making his wife stay on board the ship. Her singing and guitar playing attract a local islander, and the two fall in love.
