The French rock-'n'-roll scene serves as the backdrop for this rather-bland tale of modern-day relationships. Deneuve is a talent agent whose marriage has hit a dry spot. The tension between her and husband Mancuso, the archetypal writer suffering from a creative block, has grown so that they have decided to separate. Hoping to find inspiration, Mancuso relocates to Montreal, leaving Deneuve to bring up her two children while pursuing a career. When she discovers a new pop-music duo--Lambert and Anconina--her life becomes even more hectic.
