Love On The Ground

The title means nothing, and the picture means even less. Birkin and Chaplin are actresses doing what appears to be a domestic scene with Bo in an apartment. It turns out, however, to be a performance of a play they have adapted, without benefit of an okay from pompous playwright Kalfon. He sees it and is amused, so he asks the actresses to come to his huge estate, where they may do the show again and learn how the unfinished work ends. At the mansion are an oily butler and handyman who translates the play (Szabo), Clement's lover (Montaigu), and a magician who can do some truly frightening things (Dussollier).
