Light-hearted story about a couple who invest their life savings in a rental building shortly after WW II. Lundigan plays the husband, whose life ambition is to become a writer, but between fixing the building for the assortment of characters--which includes Monroe and Paar--and scraping up money to meet the mortgage, this dream doesn't seem very probable. One of his tenants, Fay, turns out to be an elderly Casanova who has been living off wealthy widows. When he lands in jail, this becomes a hot news item. From the clink, Fay dictates his memoirs to Lundigan, who is able to publish a successful book and pay off his mortgage. leave a comment
