Gelin plays a bullfighter who attempts to retire from the ring after a good friend of his is killed by a bull. The peaceful existence out on a ranch raising bulls is never fully realized for Gelin since he is forced back to fight one more time as a result of a pesky mistress (Gabor) who
desires her man to remain an athletic hero. The reentry into the ring is fatal for Gelin; a bull gores him to death, sending the crowd into an uproarious stampede. Bull-fighting sequences are staged quite well, but their overall effect is lost in the mundane plotting of the sentimentalized
dramatics.
