LOVE AND DEATH ON LONG ISLAND

Death in Venice on Long Island's East End. A reclusive English author (John Hurt) falls madly in love with a young American actor (Jason Priestley) when he wanders into "Hotpants College II" instead of the latest E.M. Forster adaptation. So in love that he travels all the way to the beaches of Long Island in search of his obsession. A typically fine, moving perfomance from Hurt, and a real surprise from Priestley.
