Love Cycles

Nathanael, the unhappy wife of sailor Roubanis, becomes infatuated with innkeeper Focas while on a vacation with her husband. When she confesses her obsession to her husband, he beats her and returns home. In retaliation, she sleeps with Focas and returns to Athens with her new lover on her heels. Later, Nathanael agrees to get rid of Focas and resume her life with Roubanis; however, before leaving on a trip with her husband, she has sex with Focas one last time. Roubanis, who has had enough of Nathanael's games, goes off alone, leaving his wife on the dock.
