One of the most successful Disney productions ever, this was the first in the series of films that starred Herbie, a cute little Volkswagen with a mind of its own. In this installment, unsuccessful race car driver Jim Douglas (Dean Jones) rescues Herbie from Thorndyke (David Tomlinson), a slick driver who mistreats the little car.
