Love Affair: Review

Bogart plays an aviator and airplane mechanic who falls in love with Mackaill while giving her flying lessons. What prevents the two from getting hitched is that she is wealthy, while he is broke. Bogart has also invented a new motor, which Mackaill is willing to finance, until she finds her fortune no longer exists. The difficulties multiply until Mackaill tries suicide, but Bogart is Johnny-on-the-spot and the clouds part to reveal the film's romantic silver lining. leave a comment
