This hit-or-miss spoof of movie trailers features Bill Murray in a small, early film role. Patterned after such hit comedy anthologies such as KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE and TUNNELVISION, LOOSE SHOES has a few moments of genuine hilarity. Highlights include "The Last Mile" with Murray;
"Skateboarders from Hell" (a parody of biker films); "Welcome to Bacon County"; a parody of Woody Allen, "Sneakers"; and the funniest segment, "Dark Town After Dark," a sepia-colored send-up of the black musicals of the 1930s. Technically crude at times, LOOSE SHOES has enough originality to merit
a look.
