An interesting independent film that deals with business and other hurdles one must go through to make a film. Most of the people acting in the film are nonactors: Gormley, who plays a producer, is a film producer, and directors Wenders and Boorman depict directors. Most of the film was
shot during the 1977 Edinburgh Festival using part improvisation and part scripted scenes. Gormley plays a Scottish producer trying to get his so-called commercial film "Gulf and Western" off the ground. A somewhat bleak picture that should be seen by anyone who ever thought they'd like to make a
movie.
