A moving, poignant film starring Valli as a lonely Parisian cafe owner who spots a humming tramp, Wilson, walking past her cafe. Valli becomes convinced that the man is her husband, whom she lost in the war 16 years before. She follows Wilson to his little shack by the Seine and learns that he has had amnesia since the war.
