McQuade (Chuck Norris) is a legendary Texas Ranger who is pursuing gunrunner Rawley Wilkes (David Carradine) and his cohorts. After his ex-partner (L.Q. Jones), his dog, and his daughter are kidnaped, McQuade goes down to Mexico along with Kayo (Robert Beltran), a rookie patrolman, and
Jackson (Leon Isaac Kennedy), an FBI agent, to get revenge. McQuade does most of the work, shooting, kicking, dodging bullets, and winding up in a climactic karate battle with Wilkes. This is one of the better Norris action films, showcasing his astounding martial-arts skills. But the film loses
power toward the end when the action bends reality a little too much.
