Rogers is in top form as an American businessman who takes his family with him on a trip to the British Isles for a meeting with Hare, an English lord. Rogers does not like the Brits any more than Hare likes the Yanks, but eventually they come to terms, especially when their children
fall for each other. The finale sequence has Rogers and Hare singing a duet of "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" and "God Save The King." Based on the play by George M. Cohan and remade on the other side of the Atlantic in 1939.
