Davenport and Hampshire star in this sequel to BORN FREE, replacing Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers as the lion lovers Joy and George Adamson. This time the couple is determined to keep Elsa's three lion cubs "living free" after the death of their mother. Again the filmmakers have their finger on the "heart-warming emotions" button and press it at will. But after just a short while, the movie becomes predictable and ineffective. As in BORN FREE, the nature photography is awe inspiring. Both films were shot on location in Kenya. leave a comment
