Polly (Edith Fellows), the oldest of the Pepper kids, takes care of the rest of the clan while Mrs. Pepper (Dorothy Peterson) works at a factory. Polly is befriended by Jasper (Ronald Sinclair), a rich boy who sneaks over to play with the Peppers. When the youngest Pepper gets the measles, Jasper and his grandfather, Mr. King (Clarence Kolb), are stuck in the quarantined house.
