Little Mister Jim

A tear-jerker about a little boy, Jenkins, who lives on an army base with his mother, Gifford, and officer father, Craig. The mother dies, and the father, who cannot handle his loss, begins drinking and neglects Jenkins. Chinese servant Lee adds some pseudo-Oriental philosophy, making a sugary ending possible.
