Stuart is a five-year-old orphan, mistreated by her aunt. However, she knows the secret of her father's will and who the money is to go to. Stuart keeps this information from her big sister O'Hara who's in love with Reed, an American writer. The entire film is an inept Irish version of
Cinderella, with Stuart trying desperately to sing and dance her way into your heart. But the kid is no Shirley Temple, and her scenes look and sound awful. O'Hara and Reed are the real drawing cards here, overcoming the weak dialog and so-so direction to give some interest to the story.
