Soles is a television journalist investigating a large corporation that is threatening to shut down. The film is pretentiously written, with numerous digressions and heavy symbolism. A scene with Martin Sheen was cut out of the final print. Director Mann is a talented documentary
filmmaker; it appears that he should stick with that.
