Vivaldi is a 13-year-old schoolgirl who becomes involved in a murder case, because she is infatuated with Brice, her handsome neighbor. A prostitute is found murdered in the building where Vivaldi and Brice live. Brice knows that Vivaldi saw him leave the dead woman's apartment, and he encourages her interest to establish an alibi. Eventually she becomes disenchanted with him and tells the police what she knows. The police, however, think she is just being vengeful, and do not believe her.
