Beery is a killer who flees his home to begin a new life in the Arctic Circle. He takes his daughter, Carol, and decides to become a hunter. But a Mountie is after Beery, and his only clue is the unique way the killer smokes his pipe. There are the usual amounts of fighting and action, including an interesting sequence of a cliff collapsing underneath the officer and his horse. Eventually the officer falls in love with Carol, and Beery and another hunter kill each other. The film closes with the Arctic lovebirds singing the title song. This was a B film, meant for the lower half of double bills. Beery is adequate in his role but, aside from the cliff sequence, there is very little special or different about this film. leave a comment
