A fairly amusing comedy starring Hope as the manager of lightweight boxer Clements who has fought his way into the championship. Trouble arises, however, when Hope is forced to join the Army by his mobster partners who want him to keep an eye on the pugilist, who has just been drafted. Clements turns out to be 4F, but Hope is not and gets inducted without him. In the Army, Hope is pestered by boxing hopeful Rooney, who wants the manager to make him a good boxer. Hope isn't interested until he learns that Rooney's aunt is the lovely Miss Maxwell, who runs the local nightclub. Desperate to strike up a relationship with Maxwell, Hope takes Rooney on in order to have an in with the aunt. Eventually, after lots of army gags involving MP's, Hope enters Rooney in a fight against Clements in an effort to get back at his ex-partners. leave a comment
