It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time

1975, Movie, PG, 106 mins

A horridly cast Canadian film about a husband who sleeps with his ex-wife once a week. She also finds time to get herself into a predicament with a rising politician. Once-popular singer Isaac Hayes has a role as a sculptor, though he seems to have gotten lost on the way to the recording studio. Newley's performance is the best joke in the picture, unless the shot of his bare bottom is included. Second City television star John Candy makes an early appearance (and one which shows his promised talent) as a stupid policeman. leave a comment
