Rogers and his faithful horse Trigger are the star attractions for Powers' rodeo show. But bad guy Powers won't let them do any of their fancier footwork and they leave him for Hayes, who owns a struggling rodeo and is tempted by Powers' offer to buy him out. But Rogers saves the day and
manages to woo Evans from the crooked man as well. A typical Rogers horse-and-songfest, with the right amount of action as well. This was the first directorial assignment for McDonald in the Rogers series after working with the singing cowpoke on two of the WEAVER FAMILY series, JEEPERS CREEPERS
(1939), and ARKANSAS JUDGE (1941).
