Lightning Strikes Twice

Accused of murdering his wife, Todd is cleared by a hung jury. However, his friends and neighbors still think he's guilty. He meets Roman, an actress taking a vacation. She believes in his innocence and tries to help him. Along the way they fall in love and marry. They discover that McCambridge was the real killer, and she nearly succeeds in doing away with Todd's new wife. But Roman escapes and McCambridge is killed in an auto accident. Though the mystery is a little thin and sometimes muddled, there are some nice moments here, and the cast is not bad despite troubles with the script.
