Some real possibilities with a great cast are wasted in this unfunny comedy. It's a murder mystery with every cliche in the book, from a suspicious butler to a jewel theft. This was referred to by the studio as a "commitment special," as many of its stars owed the studio a picture. The script never lets the performers show what they can do. leave a comment
