Delightful little film finds Rogers as a small-town newspaperman who befriends Cromwell, a youth framed on bank robbery charges. Barbier is the bank manager who forecloses on Rogers in retaliation, but Rogers and Cromwell start their own small one-page sheet. When Barbier runs for mayor, Rogers sets up former silent comedy star Summerville, the town bum, as the opposing candidate.
