Lianna

Lianna (Linda Griffiths) is the unsure wife of a domineering college professor (Jon DeVries). He ridicules her decision to return to school, but she continues to pursue her degree anyway. Ruth (Jane Hallaren), one of her teachers, helps Lianna to cope with her internal struggles. The two women gradually grow closer until their friendship blossoms into a love affair. This is a restrained and caring film that never lapses into preachiness about its lesbian theme.
