Ironworker McLaglen, who only smokes when he has a red-hot rivet with which to light his cigarette, leaves New Orleans with fellow he-man Harrigan to pursue a beam-walking job on a New York City skyscraper. Cajun queen D'Orsay, resentful at his departure, expresses her ire with a pistol, placing some bullets in the vicinity of his retreating figure.
