Colbert divorces her husband, Carey, after 20 years of marriage. She leaves him because he's a chronic gambler. Their daughter, Bates, tries to get them back together. Colbert's old flame, Scott, comes back into town and he's become a millionaire. He begins seeing her again and when Carey finds out he goes out of his way to try to split them apart. Scott informs Colbert that he and Carey rolled dice to see who would get her. Scott lost, and leaves town. Colbert finds out from her ex-husband that he rolled with loaded dice to ensure that he didn't lose her, the two make up, and everything ends on an upbeat note. Marilyn Monroe has a supporting role as a man-hunter. leave a comment
