Cummings is an advertising man who is attempting to extricate himself from a love affair with Sten. Unfortunately, Sten holds the strings on a large account for Cummings' company that she won't renew unless he agrees to keep their flame fanned. Cummings is driven to fits of neurosis and is removed from Sten's account, then is assigned to promote a new tome by Lamarr, a gorgeous psychiatrist.
