Ratoff is a film producer who must find a new leading lady when his Swedish star walks off the set. The director, Lowe, finds Sothern, a sideshow performer, and convinces his producer to use her. Ratoff promotes her as his new Swedish discovery. Sothern and Lowe fall in love during the
shooting of the film and Lowe's fiancee goes to the newspaper and spills the beans on Sothern. Songs include "Let's Fall in Love," "Breakfast Ball," "This Is Only the Beginning," "Love Is Love Anywhere" (Harold Arlen, Ted Koehler).
