Lethal Weapon: Review

It's hard to see past the three sequels and their increasingly absurd pyrotechnics, but Richard Donner's original was actually a fresh and edgy action thriller with an interesting buddy pairing at its dark heart. Riggs (Mel Gibson) is a self-destructive California cop with nothing left to lose; Murtaugh (Danny Glover) is a cautious, middle-aged family man.
