A boring mystery with Connolly playing Nero Wolfe and solving the case from his study. Action is limited and the villain is obvious from the beginning of the film. Stander, Connolly's assistant, does all the running around and tries unsuccessfully to provide the comic relief. Stander played the same character in MEET NERO WOLFE, the first film in the series, but the fat, cerebral, orchid-loving Wolfe was played by Edward Arnold. leave a comment
