Laughter In Hell

A tolerable chain-gang drama with a great title. O'Brien stars as a tough Irishman who murders his wife and her lover, a deed which sends him to prison. He runs into more trouble in the lockup when he discovers that the lover's brother, Dumbrille, is the hard-edged warden. An escape follows, but O'Brien fares no better after hiding out in a house contaminated with a contagious fever. Eventually, thanks to the help of Stuart, a happy fate does lie in store for O'Brien.
