American fight promoter Pat Kelly (Walter C. Kelly) travels to Ireland to find a topnotch boxer. He returns to the States with Danno O'Keefe (Phil Regan), a singing blacksmith who wins the middleweight title, as well as the heart of Kelly's daughter (Evalyn Knapp). There isn't much here
that hasn't been seen elsewhere, but the performances are believable, the fight scenes are engaging, and Regan demonstrates a fine set of pipes on four songs, including the title tune.
