After WW II begins, British entertainer Trinder is drafted into service. He immediately gets on the bad side of his commanding officer Lexy, but after saving the camp show with his show-biz expertise, Trinder is granted a commission. This is a fairly entertaining effort, designed as a
showcase for many talents in a glorious show of support for England's military forces. Though Trinder is billed as the star, the film is at its best when he is off-screen and the other talents strut their stuff.
