An operatic film which stars the young Valli (THE PARADINE CASE) as the daughter of Hoerbiger, a traveling clown who was convicted of murdering his wife and her lover. After serving a 20-year sentence, he sets out to find his daughter, locating her in the home of a wealthy woman. There are laughs and there are laughs. Larry walking into the sushi place to loud greetings of "Chicken Teriyaki Boy"? That's a laugh. But Larry's father watching porn so loud it could be heard throughout the whole front hall of the nursing home? That's a laugh. I mean, I'm giggling as I type this. His sweet, old dad with those giant glasses, saying "What? I can't hear it." Truly a classic moment, and one that can be shown only on pay-cable.
