A silly comedy in which Elsom tries to match her son, Drake, with Kennedy, the daughter of a wealthy Texas cattle tycoon. The conniving Elsom hires a couple of unemployed actors, Gordon and Falkenburg, to pose as members of Russian royalty in order to impress the Texans. Madcap romantic misfires occur with nobody marrying the person he was supposed to marry, but, by the finale, everyone emerges unscathed. There are laughs and there are laughs. Larry walking into the sushi place to loud greetings of "Chicken Teriyaki Boy"? That's a laugh. But Larry's father watching porn so loud it could be heard throughout the whole front hall of the nursing home? That's a laugh. I mean, I'm giggling as I type this. His sweet, old dad with those giant glasses, saying "What? I can't hear it." Truly a classic moment, and one that can be shown only on pay-cable.
