Director Robert Aldrich's vain attempt to repeat the box-office bonanza of his 1967 hit THE DIRTY DOZEN comes off only adequately. Shot on location in the Philippines with an all-star cast, TOO LATE THE HERO tells a tale of bravery and cowardice among dissimilar men.
