Mason is a rookie reporter from the
Daily Gazette who is trying to track down bank robber McLaglen. The newspaper offers a reward for his capture, prompting a woman to give some information, but she is killed before Mason gets to her. He finally catches up to McLaglen in Soho and turns
him over to the police. Though he had made a number of appearances in films known as "quota quickies," this was the first real movie role for Mason, embarking upon a career that would last nearly a half-century. Look for Elizabeth Taylor's second husband, Wilding, in a bit role before he became a
polished leading man.
