This western has a new twist, with a dead crook bequeathing his land to any villain who has spent at least two years in jail. This attracts an assorted array of former jailbirds to the town where Holt is sheriff. It's his job to make sure the land is divided equally. Out-takes of the famous
landrush sequence from the 1931 epic CIMARRON were used to upgrade this minor western. Songs include: `Hi-o My Horse Is So Slow," "Ki-O," and "Land of the Open Range" (Fred Rose, Ray Whitley).
