An overlooked gem and an unusually gentle film from Lethal Weapon director Richard Donner. Matthew Broderick stars as a pickpocket in 13th-century France who gets involved with a knight (Rutger Hauer) who's been cursed by an evil bishop: Each night he's transformed into a wolf, while his lady love (Michelle Pfeiffer) — the bishop's mistress — turns into a hawk.
