This film adaption of George S. Kaufman and Katharine Dayton's 1935 Broadway stage play loses none of the wit of the original but much of the pizzazz. Francis is the granddaughter of a former President and the wife of the Secretary of State, whom she is pushing for the Presidency. Her
friend, Teasdale, the wife of a Supreme Court Justice, is the individual who almost gets into the Oval Office.
