Young is a newlywed whose wife, Hale, is descended from a long line of gamblers who all lost their shirts, giving her a strong aversion to any gambling on the part of her husband. When she catches him in a game of craps during their honeymoon, she threatens to leave. Young's friends try to
patch up the marriage by getting Hale hooked. The roles soon become reversed with Young pursuing the honest working life while his wife opens a casino. Hale's grandpa, Morgan, tries to come to the rescue of his granddaughter by conceiving a plan that will knock her back to her senses. Effective
performances are somewhat marred by a weak story line.
