A highly accurate and detailed costume drama concentrating on the brief reigns of Edward VI (Tester) and Lady Jane Grey (Pilbeam) after the death of Henry VIII (Cellier). The strict attention to costumes and sets, plus smooth scripting and directing, makes this an intriguing look at English history. The majority of roles are performed marvelously by members of London's West End theater community, who were relatively unknown on the screen.
