In this period piece, set during the conflicts between the Normans and the Saxons, O'Hara is cast as the legendary woman who rode naked on horseback through the streets. Her fellow villagers prove their Saxon loyalty by not looking at her as she passes, except for one perverted soul who promptly has his eyes plucked out by an enraged McLagen. After a decent-sized role in FRANCIS IN THE NAVY (1955), Clint Eastwood is barely noticeable as an unnamed Saxon. Lucky Clint. There is little revelation here. leave a comment
