Although director Frank Capra would eventually remake it nearly 30 years later as A Pocketful of Miracles, this is the one to see. The charming 75-year-old May Robson stars as Apple Annie, a Times Square apple peddler who pretends to be a wealthy society matron when she meets her privileged daughter for the first time.
