A reasonably entertaining low-budget crime thriller, L.A. HEAT centers on Los Angeles cop Jon Chance (Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs). His troubles start with a drug stakeout that turns bloody when the suspect, Clarence (Kevin Benton), kills Chance's partner and escapes.
